I recently got an opportunity to chat with Ann Stolinsky of Gontza Games, and Gemini Wordsmiths.
Despite being so busy with my other projects that I’ve not posted on Games and Geekery in a while, I still find myself distracted by the world’s greatest procrastination tool, Facebook.
Exploding Kittens is a card game that my girlfriend and I have been playing a lot every since we picked it up in Manchester from Travelling Man. It’s an odd name for a comic book and tabletop games store, but it was pretty awesome and the employees are fantastic.
If you could make yourself look like anything, how would you choose to look?
I’ve always found the idea of cloning fascinating. Ever since I met my first twins. The twins in question weren’t even identical. Regardless, the idea of having a genetic copy of me walking around confusing my friends and family appeals to me. It’s not just the mischief factor, I love everything about the subject of cloning.
I’m currently spending far too much time playing Skyrim Special Edition for Xbox One. I’m not very good at it. I currently have several characters saved that I’ve played through to a point and then abandoned. There’s quite a few of us Geeks that enjoy playing tabletop games such as Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder. These games often begin in a tavern, or at least come by one during the course of the adventure. In those taverns is often a comely wench who serves the adventurers drinks and may even have have heard rumours of bandits or trolls.
I’ve been a fan of Warhammer 40k for more than 20 years. For those of you that don’t know, put simply Warhammer 40,000 is a sci-fi table-top battle game. There’s more to it than that though. The detail that has gone into the game itself, the miniatures, and the story behind it all takes it beyond just a game, or a hobby. Most fans would probably consider it an obsession.
If you haven’t watched the SpaceX proposal for getting us to Mars, you absolutely should. It’s pretty amazing. Elon Musk’s delivery is a little dry, but it’s awesome.
This one is one of my own, reblogged from my personal writing blog .
Stuff like this is only going to be on Games and Geekery from now on, but if you’d like to see some of my personal writing, and excerpts from the books I’m working on, Hermes925, go check out AntonyMCopeland.me
I’m feeling a little lazy today, but I still want to show you some of the awesome geekiness I’ve found online. Here’s a great article re-blogged from io9:
